Irene lived to be 100 years old, celebrating a lifetime of accomplishment, success, and quiet service in Northwest Iowa. For decades, she faithfully supported Hope Haven by sending regular financial support that provided timely funds - just as the ministry, and the needs, increased.
In 2001, Irene provided a very significant bequest through her will to support ministry growth in the name of Jesus here at Hope Haven. Her gift, invested in the endowment fund, today helps to ensure the future of ministries of grace and hope to people who have no resources of their own, locally and globally.
Irene gave "kingdom gifts" throughout her life. She also had the foresight to provide for people and ministries she cared most deeply about, for many decades to come. More significantly, she truly leaves a legacy for eternity, as people all over the world learn of God's love for them, and many come to know Him as Savior.
